Osu Ice Hockey Club

A club to enjoy ice hockey called "Osu Club (Osu Ice Hockey Club)" has been established.
The club has been organized and run by volunteers for the purpose of mutual friendship and exchange through the play of ice hockey. Visitors can also participate, so please invite your friends and acquaintances to join us. All are welcome.

5,000 yen per person is all it takes to enjoy hockey with The Osu Hockey Club.

Once you have registered, monthly dues must be paid at the end of each month whether you have skated that month or not. Similar to a gym or other type of membership, monthly dues are critical for the clubs survival, please take this seriously and maintain regular payments.

Non-members (visitors) will pay a practice participation fee of 2,000 yen prior to each practice. However, we encourage people to become full members, each individuals support is necessary and encouraged.

It is possible to pay your monthly dues in advance. Up to 30,000 yen or in other words, a six month advanced pre-payment.

Code of Membership

Article 1: Name

The club will be referred to under the name of Ohsu Club
(hereafter listed below as OC).

Article 2: Objectives

The club's purpose is mutual friendship and exchange through playing the sport of ice hockey.

Article 3: Management

The club will maintain the following officers for the smooth operation.
Two representative (chairman, president)
One treasurer
One auditor
* The OC is not be registered with the Japan Ice Hockey Federation.

Article 4: Duties of Officers

Duties of officers are as follows.
1. The representative speaks on behalf of the club, and can call meetings when necessary.
2. The representative will secure rink time for the practice schedule.
3. The treasurerant will levy and manage membership fees as well as manage sports insurance procedures.
4. The PR officer will maintain a membership list and publicize monthly practices via the club homepage. The PR officer will also maintain and update the homepage in order to recruit new members.
5. The auditor will monitor accounting and to report to the general membership.

Article 5: Activities

In order to achieve the above-mentioned article 2, the club will carry out the following activities:
1. Conduct (20-minute to 30-minute) practice and (60-minute) games on scheduled days.
2. The above will be held monthly (two to three times, day-of-the-week to be determined), between 10:10 pm and 11:40 pm at the Nagoya Sports Center.
3. In the event of scheduling conflicts, the scheduled time of club activities may vary and the venue may be moved to the Howa Sports Land or the Morikoro Park Ice Arena.

 

Article 6: Prohibited Conduct and Player Responsibility

Each individual participating in club practices and games must assume responsibily for their own conduct. (Parents or guardians will assume responsibility in the case of minors ). Body checks and other dangerous physical contact is prohibited in the clubs practices and games.
The club and club officers will not be held responsible for any accidents during club practices and games, or for damage or theft, etc., of protective equipment.

 

Article 7: Membership

In order for members to enjoy safe ice hockey, it is expected that each member use a complete set of protective equipment and have a minimum understanding of the rules.
Membership in the club can be accepted at any time with a completed prescribed form. However, membership of minors requires parental consent. There is a 10,000 yen joining fee (non-refundable) for full membership.
Non-members (visitors) are required to pay a one-time-only registration fee of 1,000 yen.

 

Article 8: Participation Fees and Expenses

Monthly fees for full membership is 5,000 yen.
*Once you signed for full members, you must pay your monthly fees at the end of each month even if you canユt participate practice by your private reason.
Non-members (visitors) will pay a practice participation fee of 2,000 yen prior to each time they participate in a practice.
*Full members may pay their monthly fees at the end of each month with a bank deposit transfer.

* It is possible to pay mothly fees in advance up to 30.000 yen, maximum up to six month.

 

Article 9: Membership Information Management and Treatment

E-mail name, birth date, address and other contact information will be recorded upon membership or registration for full members and non-members (visitors). Use of this membership information will be limited to the following purposes:
(1) Notification of club practices.
(2) Delivery of club e-mail announcements.

 

Article 10: Insurance

Full members are automatically enrolled in a sports safety insurance policy upon receipt of their admission fee. The first year of the insurance premiums are included in the admission fee, however premiums for subsequent years will be collected seperately. Non-members (visitors) are not included in this insurance coverage and mush assume self-responsibility for any accidents, etc., that my occur during practice.

 

Article 11: Membership Recess

Individuals may take a recess from membership by informing any officer (representative, treasurer, PR, etc.), with either written or oral notification the previous month. During the recess, members are exempt from fees, however they may participate in practices as visitors (non-members).

 

Article 12: Membership Withdrawal

Individuals may withdraw from membership by informing any officer (representative, treasurer, PR, etc.), with either written or oral notification. However, the admission fee and monthly membership fee are not refundable.

 

Article 13: Loss of Membership

Members may be expelled from the group, after a board meeting of the officers, for the following reasons:
1. Membership dues in arrears of one month or more without extenuating circumstances.
2. Failure to cooperate with the implementation of the club's objectives.
3. Repeated instances of dangerous behaviour or disobedience during practices or games.
4. For other reasons membership is deemed ineligible after a board meeting of the officers.

Article 14: Implementation of Codes

Codes of Membership take effect as of August 1, 2008. Any additions, modifications, or correction required, would be implimented only after a board meeting of the officers with all full-members and non-members immediately informed of the new contents.
